Wiltshire Council, on behalf of partners in the County with responsibility for employment and skills, commissioned EMB Consulting to:
Develop a Work and Skills Plan to specifically tackle issues of rising worklessness within the area. This work included:
- Significant desk research into government and county policy, employment and skill needs for the area and information on current services and projects
- Facilitated workshops with partners to help develop a vision, strategic objectives, priorities and actions; and
- The development of a comprehensive Work and Skills Plan including a detailed action plan.
Facilitate the development of a full Employment and Skills Plan – As a follow up to the Work and Skills Plan, EMB Consulting was asked to facilitate a series of workshops to help partners in developing a comprehensive Employment and Skills Plan for the area, to serve the needs of employers, adults and young people.

strategy and improve partnership working further, with a common approach to a shared issue.
